Versa no longer tracking exercise properly

I usually walk for anywhere between 45mins - 1hr with my dog first thing in the morning just after 5am and Versa does not recognise this as exercise, just counts the steps. When I walk again in the afternoon for up to 30mins it recognises this as exercise, any ideas why as it is so frustrating!! I’ve had that many issues with my Versa lately considering going to another product. Does anyone have any ideas please?

If you use the exercise app, it always counts as exercise.

Thanks but was working perfectly fine before I upgraded my iPhone software as I checked back towards end of November and it was correctly tracking my morning and afternoon walks as exercise without using the app 😟

My versa2 recognized my walking outside but when I did exercise at home and use option workout in my watch it was counting my calories and I didn't have any log about my home exercises only log from walk outside 😕
