My Versa keeps disconnecting from my phone's Bluetooth and I don't receive notifications. I have Samsung S8 phone. Also get message not connected to WiFi.

Hello all, I hope you are doing fine.
I would like to know if you keep having issues with your watches connecting with your phones? If you are, I recommend verifying that your Fitbit app is updated. After checking this, see if the issue persists.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks heaps for that. I've got an S8 too. I've literally only owned this watch for a few hours. It stayed synced for maybe an hour before it dropped away and I couldn't figure out what to do. This works. But, I don't want to do this for something this expensive

@Marrrmaduke Even mine wasn't working after the whole 10 step process so I unlinked the versa from my account and then it isn't getting relinked. When I go to setup the versa it searches and then after a while it shows found it and connecting but it never connects. It prompts to restart Bluetooth or cancel so when I press on restart Bluetooth it throws me back to the account page stating the pairing process is timed out.

By unlink you mean you removed the versa from your Fitbit account? Did you factory reset your versa as well? Also forget versa in your Bluetooth settings and uninstall and reinstall Fitbit app. Other thing I noticed is that the only half decent version of mobile app is 2.74. Anything after that seems to remove the connectivity of my Versa. 😑

Yes i did everything you mentioned in the solution except for formatting my versa. it is currently unlinked and is not linking back. I even tried fitbit connect app but it shows versa is a mobile setup only device. How do I format the versa? Thanks for the version number of the mobile app. I will try it out.
I think it is the issue of my android Pie or it was just a coincidence that my OP6 got upgraded to Pie and Versa stopped syncing.
Fitbit is nice but it still has got some serious syncing issues and hence i think it fails for the price we pay for it.

@NischayaSharma Ouch. Android Pie. Yeap that would be the reason, but hey perhaps you will be lucky. If I were you that's what I would do:
1. Open Fitbit mobile app and remove Versa from the account.
2. Uninstall Fitbit mobile app.
3. Restart the phone
4. On versa go to settings>about>factory reset. This will wipe the versa completely.
5. Install Fitbit mobile app v.2.74 or if you want to risk it the new one from Google Play store
6. Follow the instructions on versa to link your tracker with the account (setting it up).
Good luck!

Same here. Stopped being reliable after last "upgrade".
Really wasting a lot of time here.

fortunately this step worked, i came across this thread while searching for a fix...
{snip}
1. On your Versa watch go to Settings, scroll to About. Tap shut down to power off your Versa.

you open the fitbit app again or should work. Alternatively you could
unpair your phone then perform the force quit then pair again.
