Versa does not register stairs most of the time.

Hi, @Mabelcca, the Versa will measure a "floor" if it detects air pressure change equivalent to a 10 foot rise in height. (You may disagree, but I continue to be pretty amazed by this -- 10 feet difference in air pressure... that's pretty amazing!)
However, many domestic stairs, especially in modern US houses, don't quite meet the 10 feet threashold. (It seems Fitbit chose 10 feet as a compromise between domestic and business premises).
If you are concerned that your Versa may not be detecting floors properly, the test would be to go to a nearby mall or office building and go up 2 flights of stairs there.
Your Versa should measure two floors. If it does not measure two floors, please give your Versa a restart and repeat the experiment. You may also want to gently clear the small hole you will find on the underside of the Versa where the altimeter is. Over time it can be come clogged with dust or sweat.
If after cleaning and restartinf the Versa is still not counting floors, the pn get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on contact.fitbit.com. They can look into things more deeply for you.

This is my third type of Fitbit, only the 2nd HR 2 accurately counted stairs, the Blaze was better by counting one day and then not counting the next. I live in a house with stairs, and yesterday, after many trips this Versa counted 1 flight. Since I know that each trip is above whatever the level is, because other devices have counted them in the past, what is wrong with Versa?
