Can you adjust the step counter on versa?   A new gym with new treadmill reads 6 miles and my versa reads 4.

Hi, maybe it's a good idea to install the Gym Genius on your Versa to track the correct steps during your Gym workouts. You can find it it by going to Apps - All Apps - Press in the search bar on top of the screen on the right side the search icon - A new empty screen will show with also on top if the screen a search bar, but with the search icon on the left side. Press this and type Gym Genius. It's especially developed to track structured Gym, Yoga and Crossfit Workouts. Hope this helps to solve your stepping problem. Good luck!!

The distance measured by your Versa is given by the following formula:

Distance = Steps * Stride

A wrong distance can therefore be due to any or a combination of the 2 factors. Let's check both of them:

Steps: as the Versa is a wrist wearable you need to make sure your hands are swinging like your feet. Nothing too serious, just make sure you are not holding yourself on the handles.

Stride (length of your step): you might want to adjust manually the stride measure that in in your account/advanced settings. You could proceed by successive approximations (meaning increase your stride a bit, check and then reiterate the process) or start a bit more mathematically:

Distance measured by treadmill: X

Distance measured by Versa: Y

New stride = old stride * X / Y

Please note that your running stride changes with the speed so this calculation is always approximate. Still after some tweaks I'm sure you fill find much more realistic. Do not hesitate to ask for any further clarifications.
