Versa not counting steps while dancing Argentine Tango

I am an Argentine Tango dancer and noticed that my Versa is undercounting my steps. I actually counted my steps for about half of a song, and the number the versa was low. I see that other dancers have had the same problem with other FitBit models. I think the problem is that my arms don't swing. I have to keep them in a fixed position while dancing. Other boards have suggested moving the FitBit to the leg or waist, bu the Versa is meant to be worn on the wrist. What should I do to get a correct step count?

You cant make the tracker count something it doesnt sense. I am a ballroom  dancer with the same problem. I have used my flex 2 (on a separate account) worn on my body just at my hip level to calculate the steps actually taken and now know that in a 2 hour practice session I take around 3000 steps more than my wrist tracker counts, so I just manually add a walk in the app with a step count of around that figure (add the walk at a time when I am sedentary, not dance time so I dont remove the steps the tracker did count)

Thanks so much for the tip. I’ll try wearing my Alta at hip level.
