Versa not getting notifications from Signal app

I'm using a Versa with an Android phone. The phone OS, app version, and f/w versions are all current.

 

Most notifications work: MS Outlook, phone calls, Slack, but nothing from Signal. I've configured the Fitbit app to use Signal for text messages - the choices were the built-in Messages app or Signal - but inbound Signal messages don't notify on the watch.

 

Has anyone sorted this or anything similar out?

I don't have a Versa, but it has also stopped working on my Charge 2 recently.

Seems to work again with Fitbit 3.14. Pi to the rescue.
