Hello @Joni77 and @Marrrmaduke, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. ![]()
@Joni77, as @Marrrmaduke mentioed, the Fitbit Notification service should be on in order for your Versa to receive Notifications from your phone.
Give it a try and keep us updated, we'll be happy to help.
@Joedirt07 it's probably optimizing Fitbit app and Bluetooth battery usage. Go to system battery settings and turn off the optimization for Fitbit app.
Best AnswerI'm not sure how to see that for certain while in Maximum Power Saving mode. However, while in the standard mode I noticed that the Fitbit app it one of the few apps that is not being optimized. So I don't think this resolves the issue.
Best Answer@Joedirt07 The fact that in the regular mode the app is not being optimized does not mean it won't get killed when the battery saver is ON. Actually, Android will wipe any processes that substantially utilize RAM or/and CPU (such as Fitbit app). On top of that Android will optimize your Bluetooth radio as well. The same happens to Versa as well that will limit its functionality (sync, HR monitoring, notifications) when the battery is critically low. I am afraid you might have to simply turn off battery saver or plug the charger.
Best AnswerYeah I figured that would be the case. I'm just really confused on how this connection works differently than the Blaze. I think that's what doesn't make sense to me if it's the same app and connected via Bluetooth right?
Best AnswerMine has been the same for 2 weeks now.. Nothing I've tried works... The app keeps telling me that I need to restart my phone... I've done this countless times and it hasn't helped... the only notification I'm getting on the watch is to move... 😤
Best AnswerI am having this issue and I cannot find a solution. I've searched through everything on the help sections for fit bit and I've read through these forums and I've looked at all my settings in the phone, in the app, and on the watch. I've refreshed and reset everything a ridiculous number of times. I just got this versa and I'm really sad that I can't get the notifications to work. Anyone have any ideas that I may have missed?
