Check that 'Show on Lock Screen' is enabled in your phones settings app.

Hello @Joni77, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you around @Marrrmaduke and @NellyG, thanks for all your help. Smiley Happy

@Joni77, I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. If you have already checked the troubleshooting steps provided by @Marrrmaduke and @NellyG and you're still having trouble receiving Notifications, please try the following:

  1. Make sure your phone is set to receive notifications. For more information, see How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
  2. Force-quit the Fitbit app
  3. Reset Bluetooth by turning it off for 10 seconds, then turning it back on.
  4. Restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.
  5. Refresh Notifications:
    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon > Versa
    2. Tap Notifications.
    3. Turn off all notifications
    4. Restart your phone.
    5. Open the Fitbit app and turn notifications back on.
  6. Set up Notifications again:
    1. Tell your phone to "forget" your device, removing the connection between the phone and the Fitbit device.
      1. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and find your Fitbit device in the list.
      2. Find an option to forget the device.
    2. Open the Fitbit app and set up notifications again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Hello @Joni77 and @Marrrmaduke, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

@Joni77, as @Marrrmaduke mentioed, the Fitbit Notification service should be on in order for your Versa to receive Notifications from your phone.

Give it a try and keep us updated, we'll be happy to help.

Has anyone tried using their note 8 phone in power saving mode? I am not getting notifications when in this mode on the Versa. However I did when I had the Blaze? Anyone know why this would be?

@Joedirt07 it's probably optimizing Fitbit app and Bluetooth battery usage. Go to system battery settings and turn off the optimization for Fitbit app.

I'm not sure how to see that for certain while in Maximum Power Saving mode. However, while in the standard mode I noticed that the Fitbit app it one of the few apps that is not being optimized. So I don't think this resolves the issue.

@Joedirt07 The fact that in the regular mode the app is not being optimized does not mean it won't get killed when the battery saver is ON. Actually, Android will wipe any processes that substantially utilize RAM or/and CPU (such as Fitbit app). On top of that Android will optimize your Bluetooth radio as well. The same happens to Versa as well that will limit its functionality (sync, HR monitoring, notifications) when the battery is critically low. I am afraid you might have to simply turn off battery saver or plug the charger.

Yeah I figured that would be the case.  I'm just really confused on how this connection works differently than the Blaze. I think that's what doesn't make sense to me if it's the same app and connected via Bluetooth right?

I have to toggle my BT off and then on again every morning to get them to work but then they generally do for most the day.

Mine has been the same for 2 weeks now..  Nothing I've tried works... The app keeps telling me that I need to restart my phone... I've done this countless times and it hasn't helped... the only notification I'm getting on the watch is to move... 😤

I am having this issue and I cannot find a solution. I've searched through everything on the help sections for fit bit and I've read through these forums and I've looked at all my settings in the phone, in the app, and on the watch. I've refreshed and reset everything a ridiculous number of times. I just got this versa and I'm really sad that I can't get the notifications to work. Anyone have any ideas that I may have missed?
