Versa not receiving text messages

Hi I just got the Fitbit Versa for Christmas and I am not receiving txt messages from my iPhone 8, I’ve read posts and done all the troubleshooting and resets but still no luck. Any suggestions please

@Dannii82 is it only text messages that are not going through? Are you able to receive other notifications?

Hi yes I can get others like face book and messenger and email, can’t use the weather icon either even though it says it’s installed.

@Dannii82 Just in case I'll recommend this whole procedure but mainly it's about the last point:

 

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your phone and install Fitbit mobile app. Do not pair
  4. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app
  6. Grant all permissions incl pairing
  7. Make sure Fitbit Notifications are enabled in your phone Settings. If they are switch them off, sync, switch them back ON, and sync again.

Also, make sure Messages app is selected in your Notofications in Fitbit mobile app, and Show in History is enabled in your phone General Settings.

@Dannii82 Can you please provide me with screenshots of:

 

  • Versa's notifications settings within your Fitbit mobile app
  • Fitbit mobile app notifications settings within your phone's settings?

@Dannii82 I am saying that images you tried to sent did not get attached. My assumption is you used email. I'm advising to use browser on your phone (Safari, Chrome etc) or computer. Please see this post for more info. 🙂

@Dannii82 It needs to be on the community site, yes, not a private message. Have you checked the link I enclosed in my previous post? It shows how to attach images to your message.
