Versa not receiving text notifications

I have a new Fitbit that worked fine till the recent update a few weeks ago then I stopped receiving text notifications. I cleared my Versa Fitbit and the app on my Android 7 and essentially restarted from the beginning. After installing the app again and reconnecting the Fitbit still don not receive text notifications. Any idea why? I have turned on all the notifications etc. and still nothing.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If your Versa isn't receiving text notifications, I recommend taking a look at the the My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app) post and follow the instructions provided there.

I did all of those things mentioned in the link you provided. I still do not receive text notifications on my fitbit. I'm honestly quite dissapointed in the Versa and it's lack of anything new from the Charge 2. I was expecting it have talk to text capabilities, and things of that sort to rival the apple watch. I'm seriously considering just returning and going back to my charge hr 2....

I appear to be having the same issue...

 All my Notifications work EXCEPT text messages.

 

I have followed all the advice in the (circular) troubleshooting help articles - but still no longer receive any text messages on my Versa.

 

Is this a confirmed bug @AlejandraFitbit ? What is it's priority for addressing? Are Known Issues posted somewhere by Fitbit that I should check out next time I'm having troubles?

I purchased a Versa and it worked fine for about 2 weeks. After that, it would not sync or update and no text notifications would come through. I exchanged it for a new one thinking I must have gotten a faulty device. My new Versa has yet to receive text notifications and is now also not syncing with my Android. SUPER FRUSTRATING and disappointed with this product!

My spouse wanted me to exchange for a new one as well to see if it was just a faulty device. At this point I am just returning it as I am not impressed. For the money I was expecting a lot more, and the fact that the notifications stopped working sealed the deal.

Same issues for me. I can't even sync. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps. Repaired the versa. Uninstalled and re-installed the app.  Nothing.  Is this a known issue and are they fixing it?

Anyone from Fitbit able to chime in here? You clearly have many unhappy
customers who are experiencing the same issues with your newest product.
Can you please let us know if you are working on a solution, and what we
should do with our $200 watch until it's resolved?

Alejandra, you are the most active moderator around. Hope you will listen to our requests. 

1. Notification issues: The notifications work one day and other days it simple does not. With your troubleshooting tips it works sometimes but again loses it next day.

2. Compataibility: We are in 2018. When a device is launched for android we expect it to be compatible with all devices with android. your website says compatible with OnePlusOne. A device 6 years old not even available anymore. I have a OnePlus5 and if I raise issues all i hear from support is Sorry your device is not compatible. Is this expected from a brand like Fitbit?

3.USB wire charging: I have noticed USB wire charging increases steps count drastically when the watch is at rest away from any vibrations(fan/laptop). However if I use an adapter for charging it works well. Please fix steps count. This is a core fetaure of a fitness device. 

 

Hopw you will look into this issues and provide us with some tentative dates of when we can expect the next firmware update.

As well as also no longer receiving text message alerts, I can’t control the music playing on my phone by the versa. I could do this for the first couple of weeks of having the versa but now nothing. Are these problems being looked at? I’m starting to regret not getting an Apple Watch. Please can someone from Fitbit advise what they are doing to solve these problems!

I am having the same issues. I spent an hour on the phone with Fitbit. No resolution to the problem. The call ended with sorry there is nothing we can do to help you. No returns and no exchanges and no future correction to the issue. This is a terrible company that offers no customer support service. My Fitbit is now just a watch. My next purchase will be the Apple Watch.

My Versa was working quite well for six months, then no text notifications.  I have a Samsung Galaxy 9.  I've uninstalled, installed, followed the instructions in a response to another user with the same issue.  Please help me!!!

I am having the same issue with my Fitbit versa. I am receiving all notifications except for text notifications. This recently has just occurred too. I have checked EVERYTHING on my iPhone and on my versa. Every single setting says I should be receiving text messages but I am unable to receive them. Every other notification from my phone comes up. I’ve had no other issues but this one is really bugging me. Hopefully someone can help us!!

I am not receiving text messages on my Fitbit Versa. I've tried everything! I use to receive them and have no idea why it stopped. I already had to send in my first Fitbit Versa and have it replaced with this one. Not sure what to do.

Same exact situation here. My 1st Versa didn't start messing up until about 5 months after I bought it, then same issues as you as far as the replacement they sent! UGH This needs fixed!
