Versa not receiving texts notifications

I have Samsung S4. I can receive email on Versa and also Whatsapp messages but not texts, tried everything, am I missing something 😞

Great to see you around @BIGHOTMAMA68.

 

Have you checked if you have the option to receive text notifications on? If you haven't, I recommend opening the Fitbit app, tap the Versa icon, tap Notifications, tap App Notifications and check that you have your preferred apps selected.

Yes just checked and still won't work but as soon as I turn it to what's
app or messenger I recieve those but not texts

Any more suggestions lol

That's why . It will use whats app or fb messenger as your default messaging service . You can only have 1 messaging service so you have to pick your actual SMS app and not whats app or fb messenger

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this. As our friend here mentioned, you will only be able to set 1 default messaging service. If you want more do the following from the Fitbit app:

 

  1. From your Dashboard tap the Versa icon
  2. Tap Notifications
  3. Tap App Notifications
  4. Select the ones you prefer
  5. Sync

I thought my problems would be fixed. Received my first Versa on Father Days. I was using a Charge Hr for the last two years. I was a consist 10k everyday. My first Versa worked great until it would lose it's snc connection every few days. My daily steps were down by almost 1k. with this Versa. Then this summer it started given my mystery steps, thousands per day. That Versa was replaced.... I'm on my second Versa and it's starting to lose sycn every few days again, so I don't get credit for steps that I've stepped. I guess mystery steps will start appearing soon. Is this a software glitch because it keeps happening to so many users. It seems people will buy a product on company reputation but when something goes wrong, its fixed but not at the source. so you call support they'll fix it but it will be back.........
