Versa not syncing since firmware update

The app is not finding my versa.  It has not synced in over a week.  My time is off by 5-8 minutes.  At one time it was off by 10 minutes.  In the rare chance I can get it to sync, it doesn't auto sync the rest of the day.  I get the notification service not available too.  I've had my versa since August.  Everything was working fine until the update.  I am so upset I spent money on a device that does not do what it is supposed to do.  I have an LG G6 android phone.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app.  It took forever to find my device again to set back up.  I've restarted my phone and versa numerous time.  I even did a factory reset on the versa.   I have all permissions granted for the app.  I've turned off then turned on Bluetooth on my phone.  Nothing is working!  I've troubleshooted every single possibility and nothing.

@natashac78 Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Versa not syncing and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
