Versa not syncing with Fitbit app on Samsung

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a note 8 and over the past 2 days it seems as if the step count was not accurate.

I tried to log into the app on my phone however it is not letting me in-- first saying password incorrect and then secondly stating problems with fitbit.com.  However I was able to log onto a desktop normally with no password trouble.

I was curious is anyone else was having trouble with syncing and the app itself?

I have tried everything on my end--- restarting phone, restarting device, deleting fitbit app and reinstalling it, turning on and off my Bluetooth...etc.

@Vaa912 welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it's not syncing with your Samsung Note 8.

I'd like you to check out this help article, which contains a list of the supported devices. In case your device is not listed, this may be the reason why your Versa is not syncing properly.

In addition, please check this help page, under the subject "How do I create an account and connect my device?" so you can have more information about compatibility and how to set up your your Fitbit device with a computer in case your mobile device is not compatible.

Let me know if you have more questions! Smiley Happy

Not to be rude, but this kind of automated response is more insulting & frustrating than helpful.

The user clearly stated they had a Samsung Note 8. That device is obviously supported, except it never freaking syncs when you want it to, even if you follow normal troubleshooting steps like restarting the watch multiple times, restarting the phone, restarting bluetooth, making sure the app is updated, etc etc etc.

The links linked are useless. One confirms what we already know, that their (and my) device is supported. And the other's info won't even load on multiple browsers I've tried. There is no info until you "choose your device" from [I assume] a dropdown box... that is invisible and non-functioning on 4 different browsers I've tried, standard browsers.

I understand that for a large community, some moderating must be automated.  However, this automated response is so unhelpful that honestly *no response* would be better.

If it's not automated... I don't even know what to say.  Please, please do better. I really want this line of fitbits to succeed. I love what my Versa does *when it syncs*, have loved this design since the Pebble; but it will ultimately fail if you keep frustrating your customers and then insulting them with non-help 😞

Thank you.
