Versa not syncing with Fitbit app.

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently got the fit bit versa and for the first few days it was working perfectly.  I absolutely loved the GPS for runs, texts alert, sleep tracking.  Then all of a sudden it would not sync with the app on my phone.  So far I've had the Versa for 10 days....and its been frustrating me to no end for half that time.

I deleted the fit bit app and reinstalled it

Turned my WiFi on/off

Removed the Versa from my Bluetooth (forgot device)

Reset the Versa 3 times

Turned my iphone off/on

Removed the device from the fitbit app, but now can not get it to add back on

My phone finds the Versa, but it gets stuck on "Connecting to Tracker"  I have been tinkering around with this for about two hours now, and no luck

Is this something that is occurring often with others?  Am I doing something wrong?  I might just have to take this item back and return it... Sadly, because I really enjoyed it for the time it worked.

I also read if your car has bluetooth it can throw the Versa off

Of course it was through the app. Have no idea how to do it otherwise

You say your phone finds the tracker, using the app to sync, there is no option for the phone to look for the tracker, therefore I'm confused..

But has Fitbit support gotten back to you? I'm not sure which if the several ways available was used to contact support.

I have. It heard from Fitbit. The only phone shows the status of the connectivity as it is happening. In fact you are instructed to have the phone beat the charging cradle. Instructions show up in the phone.. Before the process continues you have to agree to their disclaimer or whatever you would call it. I have no idea how to connect the device other than through the Fitbit app on my iPhone

For no obvious reason, my Fitbit Versa began syncing again after weeks of not. It still does not relay all calls or texts, although it is set to do so.

As I have said in my messages, I have attempted to reset it so many times that I have lost count. I have an iPhone X with an up to date IOS. I have eliminated and reloaded the app; I have attempted to sync in many different places in the event it was an internet reception issue. Typically my phone shows that it had located the device but then it never syncs—the wheel goes round and round indefinitely until I just give up and disconnect the **ahem** thing.

I is all very frustrating, including responding to your questions which I have already answered in my various emails . . .

I bought a Versa about a month ago. For the first couple of weeks, it worked great syncing with iOS on my iPhone 7. I noticed about 10 days ago that it quit syncing and was showing zero steps in my app.

I have read read every article I can find. I have uninstalled the Fitbit App, restored the Versa to factory settings numerous times, turned Bluetooth on and off, and everything I can think of, and I can’t seem to fix the issue.

As of today, the Versa would count my steps during the day, and they would show up in the app. Then at midnight, the previous day’s steps go back to zero. There is no sleep log, no steps stored, no calories burned, etc.

So basically, I have a $200 pedometer piece of junk that won’t store ANY data after midnight. I could have bought a $2 pedometer that would have done the same thing.

I’m ready to throw away this piece of garbage and go back to my Alta, which had no syncing problems, but the cheap plastic Alta charger broke 3 different times and I got sick of buying new ones.

Can anybody help?! I know I’m not alone in these syncing issues!

Shame on Fitbit for selling a product with so many bugs that it became unusable! If you are thinking of buying a Versa, save your money and get an Apple Watch instead! Fix these bugs, Fitbit! 🐜 🐛 🕷 🐛 🐜 😡

I am having the same problem! Bought it a month ago and it worked great. Then it stopped syncing with my app. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, reset to factory, deleted from Bluetooth and reconnected.

Now it will sync with my app during the day and then reset and “forget” previous day’s steps/calories/sleep at midnight. For almost two weeks I have no data in my app.

This is ridiculous and the Versa was a huge waste of money! 😡

The only way that I have found to fix most fitbit issues is to do a factory reset on the watch itself, your app will still store all of your collected information, all you will have to do is redownload the clock face.

@cheryl.stanley if you indeed do not see your Versa on your dashboard, it usually means that the Versa is not connected to your fitbit account and will need to be setup through the Add Device.

As for watch faces. No this has nothing to do with any data that may be on the tracker.
