This is not a diss on the Versa as I loved my first one until the display went after a couple of months. Now the 2nd one they sent as a replacement was a reconditioned unit. Unfortunately the syncing issues I have had for the past couple of months drove me batty. I am inclined to think that the replacement unit they sent had this problem in it and was sent back because of it. I just grew tired of going thru all the steps to sync the watch almost daily.
My fault in that I should have waited until all the kinks were worked out and it had proven itself. Then again maybe I was just unlucky to have 2 units that had their quirks but to me that is a 100% failure rate. I mostly solved the issue with the flights of steps by raising my arm at the top so it would be counted and it mostly worked but many times I had forgotten my own solution and it was not counted. Little thing I know but just sad to spend that much money on a piece of electronic that sometimes worked.
I am sure there are many units out there that work fine and I am happy for all those that have them and enjoy them. Good luck to you all!

Me Too
Just dropped my Versa from my bathroom counter to carpet in bathroom and it is dead and I have had it only a couple of months. Nothing should be that delicate, especially a watch/fitness tracker that you wear everywhere, to workouts, bed, etc.. I tried all reset but absolutely no response to anything so I called Fitbit, they tried several resets and then I was told it was my fault and they would not cover the item or do anything more. Can't say I would ever buy another Fitbit item, very disappointed and out a couple hundred dollars on what I consider was a defective item.
P.S. If I had dropped a phone or another type of watch or anything from that distance to a rug I would not expect it to be broken
