I have been having difficulties with syncing my Versa for about a week. Today, connects to WiFi without a problem. However, I have gone 10000 steps and have 0 active minutes.

Hello @yarn612, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this situation to my attention. Please note that Fitbit devices calculate active minutes using metabolic equivalents (METs). METs help measure the energy expenditure of various activities. Because they do so in a comparable way among persons of different weights, METs are widely used as indicators for exercise intensity. For example, a MET of 1 indicates a body at rest. Fitbit devices estimate your MET value in any given minute by calculating the intensity of your activity.

You earn active minutes for activities at or above about 3 METs. If the same activity gives you active minutes one day and fewer active minutes the next day, remember that the intensity of exercise is key, so it's possible to walk a lot during the day but if the exercise intensity is not over 3 METs, active minutes will not be counted. . Often what seems like the exact same amount of effort over the same distance in fact differs slightly enough to change your active minutes total.

I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply. Smiley Wink

Active minutes only count when you have been active for 10 minutes or longer. Shorter periods aren't counted.

My Versa also stopped tracking active minutes for about the past week or so. No matter what activity I’m doing (ones that have always recorded active minutes in the past) no longer have any impact on AMs.

I’ve just changed from a Flex 2 to a Versa and it’s logging no active minutes despite doing spinning, body attack and body combat classes. It did however log active minutes for a swim which was actually quite leisurely compared to the classes! Any ideas?

I just got my versa for christmas and I average 100 active minutes per day usually. Today I had dance after school for 5 hours and it counted it all as a workout and stuff and I have reached all my other ogals but it counted NO active minutes. How do I fix this?

I am having the same issue. Very frustrating. Any solutions out there? I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
