Versa not tracking exercises/stops tracking at all

I have a Versa for about a year now. its worked fine until recently.  Last week, it wouldnt track any steps at all unless i viewed the watch, sort of to refresh it. i walked for about an hour, and when i glanced at the watched because i hadnt gotten my 'daily 8000 step goal reached' notification, it read 600 steps, and after maybe 10 seconds, the rest of the steps...over 7k, were added.  i thought it was something with the new clock face i changed it to, so i changed back to the old.

this week, Monday and Tuesday, it worked fine.  Wednesday, it tracked 2 exercises and it showed i was doing nothing for 10 minutes. which is impossible because i left my house at 6:12am, and returned at 8am, did not stop walking during that time. but there is a 10 minute gap where the first walk was logged, and then the 2nd walk....which again, no second walk happened...it was one constant walk.  today, i left at 6:22am, and it logged at 6:36am that i was doing elliptical for 52mins. and i began walking at 7:28am.  again, logging 2 exercises and one, that i didnt do. i literally walk for an hour and a half daily and its logging 2 separate exercises with a time in between where i apparently switched exercise or stopped moving.  which doesnt happen. i walk for the entire time.

can anyone tell me whats going on here?  its not reading my exercise properly and it seems, its stops logging at some point and then begins again. even though im constantly in movement.

I’d try shutting it down and re-starting.

Does it work correctly by manually starting your walk on the watch?

Also, I’d Do a shutdown and restart.
