Versa not tracking workouts

Hi All, 

 

my dashboard is not tracking workouts and physical activity time. Tracks all other stats (steps, stairs, calories, etc). Not syncing at all when i “force” sync. Help!

@Beauti381 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear that your Versa isn't recording your activity. You mention that your steps and other data are being recorded by your Versa. Which activities haven't been recorded by it? How do you track these activities (using the different exercise options on your Versa, via SmartTrack autodetection, manually logging them)?

Hi! My phone app is partially syncing to my versa.  It will automatically capture my steps, flights, miles, calories, heart rate. The phone app is not capturing my hourly steps, workouts, minutes of physical activity, and my sleep. when I "pull" the screen to sync, it does nothing. I have made sure my iPhone is updated, fitbit app is updated, restarted my phone and fitbit but my sleep and workouts are not syncing, I have to manually put them in. Yesterday, I used FitStar to work out. When doing other workouts, I manually start the workout on the device, as to not have the versa automatically track it.  Yesterday, I uninstalled my device from my app and re-connected it and it synced my hourly steps/ FitStar work out but I don't want to have to do that everyday.  Thanks in advance.

@Beauti381 you don't mention which activities aren't being recorded. For how long do you do these activities? Are they supposed to be detected by your Versa (check the SmartTrack article to learn more about activities autodetection)? You mentioned that the previous day you used Fitstar but do you this all the time? Could you share a screenshot of your sleep area on your app (tap the sleep tile and provide a screenshot of this screen)? Are you walking at the time of the reminders to move or are you logging activities during this period?

I just uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Problem solved. Thank you.

I am having the same issue. Sleep has not automatically synced for 2 nights now. And i did the treadmill today and weights, hit play and stop on my versa and it has not synced to the app. Yet my steps, flights and heartrate are fine. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app. Also tried to log out of Fitbit and restart my phone then log back in and nothing is working!! Help!!

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong. When I go to the gym, on the versa watch itself, I click on exercise- then scroll to Workout and click it- then click the arrow at the bottom to start the workout. I do Crossfit so it is a combo of weights and cardio. However. twice now the watch has not tracked my exercise and I have had to log it manually. Am I doing something wrong? I have reset the watch as well as uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone. 

 

Please help!

I’m having the same problem.  When I’m done with my workout I press pause and then end the workout. But nothing happens. It doesn’t indicate the active minutes. Still lots of as zero

Have you found a resolution to this problem? I am manually starting a workout on the versa but once the workout ends and I've viewed my stats it does not log the exercise on app or in watch. It just seems to disappear.

It will say i have exercised but my active minutes are not showing..
Also having issues with my heart rate. I bought this **ahem** thing in June
last year and I am about to throw it away

You need to reboot the watch (it’s not picking up heart rate, bpm indicator on watch just shows as two dashes) and you need to change settings on app from auto sync to only sync when you open the app. Been two months and no issues since I did the above. Hope that helps.

I will try this and see if it works. I am also having issues where my sleep
is no longer tracked. That's been for avout a month now.

Since last Tuesday:

Not tracking workouts

Not tracking sleep

I have uninstalled and reinstalled app.

I have rebooted Fitbit

Turned off all-day sync

Nothing is working, anything else you might be able to tell me?

I had this same issue! I tried reinstalling the app d and that did not work for me, however resetting the Fitbit itself did! It even included my weight lifting workout I did earlier today that I thought I had lost.

I am having the same issue. I bought this barely a week ago and this week it has only counts 1 day of exercise. Everything else is tracking. It tracks my active minutes but wont convert those to count towards my exercise. I have delete and re-downloaded the app and restarted the watch.

I am having same issue. Tracked aerobic workouts last week and now this week have to manually enter minutes. Tracks steps, stairs etc. with no issues. Frustrating!

They ended up replacing mine for free because I was within the warranty
period. I tried restarting and everything with no luck

Did you buy it through Fitbit? I bought mine in December from Kohl’s so also under warranty. Thank you for your response b

I bought mine at Best Buy and just contacted fitbit via chat. We went
through some steps and when it didn't work they replaced for free under
their warranty
