Versa not turning on

After the most recent firmware update last week, my Versa worked for 1 day.  Then the heartrate stopped working, and then the auto-on for the watchface stopped working.  I did 3 soft resets, including 1 where I turned OFF the heartrate, reset the Versa, and turned the heartrate back ON.  Didn't work.  Only a -- for the heartrate.   Oh, at some point during this, it also lost 10 minutes, which it recovered on the 3rd soft reset.  I did a factory reset today which was a waste of half an hour since the Versa worked for 1 hour following the reset and is now d.e.a.d.  (It was plugged into the charger throughout the factory reset and reactivation process and before it died, showed 75% battery.) I've had this watch for 18 months, during which everything worked the way it was supposed to for about 3 of those.  This is super annoying.  We've had multiple fitbit devices and put up with their idiosyncracies for years because of the superior battery life, but I give up.  I'm going to break down and buy an Apple watch.
