Versa notifications issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am using my Fitbit Versa with iOS v11.4 on an iPhone 7. I am noticing that my notifications are coming through sporadically. I have it set for Calls, Text Messages, Calendar Events, and multiple other apps. I will notice that only some text messages come through (and sometimes very delayed) as well as calls never showing up on my watch.

Has anyone else noticed this or have a solution for it?

Also, is there a way to have the Versa automatically turn on the screen when a notification comes through? I've noticed sometimes that my watch will buzz, but when I look at it, it won't turn on even with the movement to raise it up and I have to hit the button to see what is on the screen. Many times, it seems to be one of the fitness reminders from Fitbit.

Thanks,

Merg

It's great to see you around @TheMerg.

If you are having issues with your notifications, I recommend taking a look at the help article My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and follow the instructions provided there. Now about the quick view, I suggest checking that you have set this option in "On" or "Auto".

Hope to hear from you soon. Smiley Happy

Okay, I think I figured out the issue.

I had cleared out the notifications on the watch and notifications started back up again. And then they stopped.

As a test, I cleared them out and had someone send me numbered text messages. As I thought, once I received a certain number of notifications it just stopped again. It appears the magic number is 24.

So, it seems that once you have 24 notifications on your watch, it will not notify you anymore. Could someone else test this?

Thanks,

I followed the instructions, however it is hit and miss, sometimes I get notifications from text and phone calls, 1 or 2 than miss 1 or 2 more , nothing  consistent. Was thinking about going to apple instead, but I like the music features. Hopefully over time it will get better

@AlejandraFitbit,

I replied about my issue with notifications stopping. It definitely seems like a bug or limitation.

As for the Quick View, I do have that turned on. I also said that I am using my Non-Dominant Wrist with the thought it would be more sensitive.

My issue is that a notification comes in and I feel the vibration. Unless I make a significant movement of raising up my wrist or hitting a button, the screen will not display the notification. This is annoying when all I want to do is just turn my wrist over and glance at my watch to see the notification.

So, I have replicated this issue over and over. As soon as I get 24 notifications, no other notifications come through on my Versa. Either this needs to be rectified to continue to allow notifications to come through or it needs to start deleting the old ones for new ones to come through.

It is absolutely ridiculous that there is no option to allow the screen to turn on when a notification is received ...  Having to touch the screen... Who's the bright mind that came up with that??

I know it will reduce battery life, doh!
