Versa, notifications not working, App Notifications are not available.

Hello,

Well, I have an original problem (from what I read, not really lol).

So I've had my Versa for a day, after previously using a Blaze, a Charge, etc.

As I stated, notifications don't get sent to the Versa at all except for text messages. The funny thing is, I started getting the same problem on the Blaze (App Notifications in the Fitbit app would always be empty) and I tried to restart, reset, throw it off a roof (not really but close to it) and nothing seems to work.

I have the following :

iPhone 7 running iOS 11.3.1

Versa running 32.4.19

I tried :

I have no other Bluetooth devices connected at the same time ;

Reset bluetooth ;

Checking to make sure notifications are ON on the Versa (hold left button for 2 secs) ;

Remove/Re-Installing Fitbit App ;

Restart and shutdown the Versa ;

Reset all my settings on my iPhone .

Considering I started having issues with App Notifications on the Blaze (which would stay empty no matter how many notifications my phone received) I'm pretty convinced the issue is on the Fitbit App. Maybe. Hopefully.

But for now, nothing works. I only get text messages sent to the Versa and App Notifications doesn't add any notifications I receive from 3rd party apps.

Thanks!

Did you check the notifications on your Fitbit app under the versa? And clicked on all the apps you want to receive notifications from?

Yeah that's the thing, there is nothing listed in 3rd party notifications. I do have Calendar, SMS and Calls. So far only SMS works.

But the thing is, this 3rd party app notifications problem started happening about 2 months ago (guessing here) with my Blaze. So I'm thinking, the Fitibit App has a bug somewhere...

Ah, I have an android but I saw in another post someone had a similar problem like you and she had an iPhone also. Maybe Fitbit has to fix their app for iPhone users. Sorry I wasn’t much help 😔

Could be that. Coming from a Blaze that worked wonderfully for almost 2 years and started having issues recently, and seeing the same issues from the Versa, it's a safe bet!

And thank you for trying to help me with my problem Smiley Happy

I might be having a similar problem, although my versa is showing most notifications from my iPhone, but where you go to turn on notifications from 3rd party apps in the fitbit app the app I want to get notifications from isn't listed.. and yes I have received notifications from that app on the phone. Other than this issue it's an awesome watch

I have the same problem except that I have a Samsung Note 8.  I called Fitbit yesterday for help and they told me that they have not finished testing the Note 8.  Really??  Samsung released the Note 9 last year!  The Note 8 is 2017.  Needless to say, I'm not happy.  I have a Blaze and left it for the Versa only because the Versa is waterproof.  I feel as though I wasted my money on a device that is of a lesser quality than what I originally possessed.  Return to Blaze and return the Versa...

So I ended up solving this issue by : putting my iPhone in English (used to be French).

All notifications started working then.

So if you have notifications issues and your phone is using any other language but English, that might be the issue.

Thank you

Thanks for your response. However, I don't have an iPhone. I have a
Galaxy Note 8 and Fitbit did not complete the QA on the Versa's software
for compatibility before releasing it.

Thank you
