Notifications do not work consistently. On Thursday I missed an important text that I would have responded to quickly, but no notifications so no quick response from me. I went through the steps to get notifications working again and they worked fine on Friday and Saturday. This morning, Sunday, notifications are not working. I changed nothing on my Versa or phone overnight. This is very frustrating.
I have had the same issue. Fitbit was suppose to be contacting me and have yet to do so two weeks latter. I was on phone with them three different occasions and no success. Total rip off on advertising that this is a working feature. Very very disappointed in this watch.
Hope a fix comes out for this. We shouldn’t need to trouble shoot missing notifications every 2 or three days. Notifications work when they work, but it seems that they break down every two or three days.
Nope, just the Versa on my account. Deleted the old trackers sometime back.
Also, I know how to get it to receive notifications...I have read the help and the manual. The issue is that notifications work for a few days and then they don’t!
My phone is the LG k371 running on android 7.0. Yes, I’ll probably hear that it is not one of the limited number of phones that are compatible, but I didn’t have this problem with the Alta or the Charge 2. Just feeling frustrated. I really want to like this fitbit and the notifications are important to me.
I'm in the same boat. I have a Galaxy S9 that's not "compatible" but was working perfectly until a couple of days ago and then after the update now my Versa is only partially working correctly but does not get e-mail or text notifications anymore (calls and calendar works). Not sure if the update may have caused the problems you're having but I don't plan on doing any more troubleshooting until they come out with the next update which is hopefully very soon. .
Best AnswerYour FitBit Versa can only receive notifications it is connected with your phone, I have had the same problem and I figured out that you have to have it connected to your phone through bluetooth.
Best AnswerIn my case it is connected to my phone. I get call and calendar notifications but not email and text notifications. It was working flawlessly before the updates a few days ago.

This morning notifications are still working. I hope this will hold for more than a couple of days. I got notifications working yesterday and was surprised to discover that they are still working this morning.
Sunday through Thursday notifications worked beautifully. This morning they are not working AGAIN! I really like my Fitbit Versa when it works. However, keeping it working consistently is an issue. I changed nothing on my phone or my Versa to cause it to not work this morning.
Just now, I reset my Fitbit and have it working again. However, it is frustrating to need to do this every few days.
If I ever get notifications to work for an entire week, I will post here to let folks know.

Best AnswerI get some notifications but don’t know when I get them. There’s no vibration and they don’t show up on my screen,I only find them if I pull down on my screen.
Best AnswerOk, same here. They were working, then this a.m. they STOPPED and haven't worked yet. I have not yet reset my Versa because I shouldn't HAVE to reset my Versa often for it to work.
Okay notifications not working again this morning. Restarting my one week countdown. I really hope that I will be able to post here that I have had notifications work for an entire week. So far that isn’t happening.

Hi everyone sorry to hear that you aren't getting notifications on your phones. Which phone are you using? Is it compatible? Try refreshing the link between your phone and your Versa by doing the following:
- Remove all devices listed on your phone's bluetooth list.
- Restart your phone.
- Restart your Versa by doing the following:
1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.
Now setup notifications again. If you are using an Android device make sure that the app has the necessary permissions (settings>apps>Fitbit>permissions). Also if your phone has a battery saving app or feature make sure to add the Fitbit app to the exception as if the app is being closed then it won't be able to send the notification to your Versa.
Let me know how it goes!

Okay, I will do all of the steps above since my notifications are not working again this morning. This will restart my hoped for one week counter.
Best AnswerAgain this morning, notifications are not working.
I can and do go through the steps to get notifications to work. They work from 1 to a few days. Still hoping for a week of notifications working.
Best AnswerAgain, not working until reset. Still looking for that elusive one week of consistently receiving notifications without intervention on my part.
Best AnswerJust a BTW, yesterday, instead of just the usual reset options, I deleted the Fitbit app on my phone and reinstalled it. My notifications worked yesterday, but this morning I had to reset again to get them working. I have no problem getting notifications to work...I just can’t keep them working. That is why I now check everyday to see if they are working.
Best AnswerI had planned to wait until notifications worked for me for an entire week without troubleshooting on my part. So far, three days is the record. I keep hoping for an update that will improve the situation.
