I've read negative reviews of the versa. I'm terrified to spend over £200 on a watch that may be a dud!
There seems to be a lot of rivalry between the two. Has anyone had both? Which do you prefer?
P.s If this thread gets deleted, it wasn't me!
P.p.s I am in no way belittling or bad mouthing fitbit. I have always bought their devices but i wish to gain some honest opinions before splashing out on my birthday present!

I've had good luck with my Versa and had no problems with it. I'm not diminishing the real problems others have had, but I've loved mine. I think it might come down to the luck of the draw. I've had both, but I prefer the fitbit dashboard and their sleep tracking. It all comes down to personal taste I guess. Garmin makes fine watches, so you can't go wrong either way.

@Jawwdan91 I love my Versa, though it is buggy. From what I've seen, particular people have the same issues with their Versas, even if they get replacements. So you might find out pretty quickly within the return period if it's going to be a problem for you.
I would also recommend getting a glass screen protector, and buying locally where you're pretty sure you can return or get a replacement easily. Fitbit's replacement process CAN be very easy, but it's usually a 3-5 weeks without a device nightmare.
Finally, with the caveat that this was years ago when they first started selling fitness trackers, I got a Garmin when the Fitbit Force was recalled and it was terrible. I'd do the same workout and sometimes get 2500 steps and sometimes get 4000, when it was always 3000 with the Fitbit. Also, it's probably better now, but the app was also terrible.

Thanks! It's really split online but one thing they all say is the heart rate on the fitbit is far more accurate than those on the garmin. For this reason I think I'll go for the versa!

What did you end up getting? Are you happy with your decision? My Blaze recently died after less than 2 years. I love the look of the Versa, but Garmin might be more durable and less glitchy. Internal GPS would be nice, but I am used to not having it. The Ionic would be ideal if it weren’t so ugly.

I ended up going for the versa and i am super happy with my choice. I wear it 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Its great, comfy and honestly i have no complaints!
