Versa over counting the steps

Is there going to be an update soon to fix the extra counting of the steps you take with this ? I would like to know because if not, I will be returning my Versa. Only have had it 5 days. Really do like it, but cost to much to be having this problem.

don't want to return it. It just seems to be really bad at it's job.

When I took my fitbit out of the charger, it immediately counted 10,000 steps.  I was sitting down when I did this.  No steps were taken.

Well I thank all of you in this thread. I had the same issue with my Versa 3 and got the runaround from tech support. I registered 378 steps while watching Army of the Dead. Luckily I bought mine from Amazon, so I will not have a handling fee for their incompetence.

 

Does anyone have a suggestion for a smartwatch that works? Garmin, Apple, or Samsung.
