I've seen other parts about the Versa pausing. Mine started to do this 2 weeks ago. This week, it has very negatively interfered with my workout on 3 days, since I don't always feel it vibrate when it pauses. I've already restarted it. I've checked for updates. I've turned off the screen auto-wake. I don't wear anything else on my wrist either. I don't know how or why this is happening, but I'm very frustrated since I love this Fitbit. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Hi, a simple restart does not solves problems. You will have to restart your Versa 4-5 times in a row by pressing and holding the left and right lower buttons together untill you see the Fitbit logo and release the buttons. Hope this will solve your problem!!

Thank you, but the constant restart did not work. I did it last night 5 times, but the Versa still paused twice today during two different exercises. One was a decline dumbbell press, the other was reverse crunches. Neither of those exercises been my waist in a way that would cause it to hit buttons by mistake either. This is very frustrating...

Hi, I am sorry to hear about this problem. Have you had any problems with the buttons not working. There could be something that makes the buttons stuck. Try cleaning it really good. Have you had problems with other apps?

Hello @Mastrochr and @Jmonkey02 I hope you're doing well, it's great to see you around.
@Mastrochr thanks for coming back and let us know you're still experiencing this situation. As @Jmonkey02 mentioned, please try to clean the buttons on your Versa, compressed air works very well. Additionally, try to adjust your Versa a bit upper on your wrist while exercising, making sure is tight but not constricting, then attempt to exercise with it.
If you're still experiencing issues with it, please let us know so we can check this further.

Cleaning the buttons is one of the first things I did. However, I keep the pebble itself in great condition. Regular cleaning, wiping off sweat, taking off when I'm doing work that could cause scratches (i.e. when I was doing construction work on the house last week), etc. Aside from the band showing wear, the unit itself is in great condition and very well maintained.
I will try to move it further up my arm, but I am very positive that this won't matter. As it is, I wear it about 2 inches up my arm anyway so that the bend in my wrist doesn't inadvertently press the buttons when I'm lifting.
I have had previous issues with some apps and connectivity at random times. This morning, for example, my Versa wouldn't sync with my phone until I restarted the app 3 times, then restarted the Fitbit itself, then restarted my phone. Very strange, but not the first time that's happened. Likewise, I have had issues with music control, which is why I don't store music on the Fitbit itself anymore. Lastly, I've had issues with notifications not coming through on the Fitbit, but I chalked that up to the connectivity issues.
I'm very tech savvy...I have literally tried everything. Of course, I've only had this for a little over a year, so I'm out of the warranty period and don't have the box anymore either (ironically, I finally threw it out THE DAY BEFORE the issues started...smh).
Thanks for all your continued help.

Since you have had previous problems you may want to do a factory reset. This will make it be like a “new” device. It is not a regular reset, and if you are still having problems, you may want to contact Fitbit. I hope this helps!

I also started having this problem a few weeks ago! I got my versa in May 2018, and everytime I used the exercise mode for "weights" this would happen on every workout! It was so frustrating. So to get around it I just started using "workout" exercise mode...I'm sure my progress wasn't tracked correctly in this mode but at least I wasn't frustrated through every workout, constantly having to stop and restart my versa that kept automatically pausing. But..NOW it's doing it in again in the "workout" mode?? Why? All of a sudden? I've done all the same troubleshooting and no results! Please, Please, Please ADD A ON/OFF TOGGLE button option for EVERY Exercise!!! It doesn't make any sense that only certain exercises have it and others dont! Thank you!
