I got over 1,000 steps by just blow drying my hair, any way to avoid this? I have had multiple Fitbit and this has never happened.

It has happened to me when I used all my Fitbit wrist based trackers, I just take mine off now when I blow dry my hair or brush my teeth....

I used to have this problem with the Fitbit Alta. In the end it was due to being left handed and wearing the watch on my left wrist. Changing the dominant hand settings reduced the number of non-steps that were being tracked.

Great to see you around @LauraJean13@Breezygirl8 and @Rachel-Fit thanks for stopping by.

Keep in mind that the Versa will register your steps depending on your arm movement. Since you are moving your hands a lot while drying your hair, your tracker might show you extra steps. Our friends here provided really good solutions to avoid this, have you tried them?

My fitbit Versa has been sitting in the window sill all day. 30 minutes ago I got notice that I reached my step goal of 4K steps and just a minute ago I got a congratulations for having 1098 steps above my goal. The versa is still sitting in the window sill......

@Debbimc is there a fan going on in the room as it will add false steps. Or maybe some kind of .Noise outside?
