Versa screen and battery draining issues

Hi, I’ve tried to reset my watch but now the screen fades away to nothing or annoyingly last night stayed partly lit but blank.  Also battery no longer keeps charge, runs out and then loses time.  I’m not very tech savvy so need easy solution or will just get a refund.
