Numerous times a day get a 12 different color squares/ blocks on my Versa screen (3x4 matrix). It usually happens when I check the time/ steps on my watch. It always vibrates just before the colored squares are shown. The only way I have found to make it go away temporarily is to hold the left button and bottom right button at the same time together for a few seconds.
Is there an way to stop this from happening so often?
I have added a photo of the screen for reference.

That sounds really weird! As the restarts you are doing only work for a short time, so the next thing to try is a factory reset (settings app in the watch and scroll down to about) You will need to set 7p again after doing that. Let us know how you go

A warm welcome to the Community @BigDave58 and @NellyG thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate the efforts in trying to fix the display issue you are experiencing and would like to know if you keep having this inconvenience? If you do, could you please provide me with a photo of your Versa screen by following the instructions provided in this post?
Hope to hear from you soon.

I am wondering if this issue has been fixed. I've been having this same problem for several weeks. Here is a picture of the screen.

If you are not using a clock face developed by Fitbit you might want to try changing to one of those as it may be related to the clock face software.
I believe the clock face I was using at the time of corruption was ClearBeam which I really liked. I am now using Stats developed by Fitbit which is similar.
My Versa Bluetooth also stopped working shortly after having the corruption.
Therefore I really do not know if it was the watch, clock face software, or both causing the issue...
If you are using ClearBeam let me know. I would like to switch back to it but did not want to have clock face issues again...
Good Luck

I switched to a fitbit watch face and I haven't had the issue. It appears to happen with some non-fitbit watch faces. I was using one of the heavy stat face (fine clock by Bern Theissen). Thank you.
