Versa screen is only white

Hello all,

My Fitbit Versa has been working grandly since I got it for Christmas last year. However, on Friday, after the alarm went off, it died. When I recharged it, the screen stopped working. The screen just showed white. It fades in and out depending on what buttons I press. I tried multiple restarts and a reset. The watch still syncs with my phone, it vibrates when I receive calls and texts. The green heart rate light on the back still works. It's almost as if the only thing that's wrong is the display.

Is there any hope?

My Versa just recently started doing something very similar! The screen works fine for about 5 seconds, then turns white. The screen functions slowly when white so notifications overlap. The auto display when I turn my wrist has stopped working as well. Everything else seems to be working fine.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community. @ae1994 and @Dowzer. I´ll be glad to assist you with your Versa screen inquiry.

@ae1994, thank you for mentioning that you have restarted your device on multiple occasions. I went ahead and created a case on your behalf and a customer support representative will contact you soon. Please check your email.

@Dowzer, thank you for adding your picture to your post. Please try restarting your watch:

  1. Press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If you still have issues with your device, turn it off and turn it back on. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device?

Thank you for the heads up @NellyG.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hello @AndreaFitbit

Restarting did not fix the problem.  Instead, the screen now presents a different abnormality every time it turns on from turning white to flickering to shifting colors.  If it didn't make it hard to read it might be fun. 😁
