Versa screen not working

Hi all,

I went in the shower with my fitbit Versa and when I came out it was unresponsive. I put it in rice for 48h and then charge it. After that the green lights for the heart beat reading were working but no screen. It sincronizes with the phone and touching buttons it vibrates. I tried to reset it but nothing appears in the screen.

Any idea on how to get the screen to work again? I understand that shower shouldn't have affected.

Thanks,

I'm having the exact same issue as of yesterday. And mine hasn't been wet. Another thing that I noticed is the calories burned is way over what my activity level has been for the past 2 days.

I am having issues with my screen. It did not get wet, and it is hit and miss with my screen working or not. I am getting frustrated with it.  I haven't had this Versa 2 Fit Bit more than 3 months, for the price I paid, it should be working why better than this.

Minus the shower mine is the same story. It still vibrates for notifications - currently keeps going for an alarm I am unable to turn off. It seems this might be an issue that needs to be addressed.

Sorry, I actually have a Versa Lite, not a Versa 2. But it still is having issues with my screen going dark and not being able to "wake it up". Also I do have issues swiping it too.

I am also suffering from a main screen (watch and summary stats) that went mysteriously black earlier today, March 22... no shower, no complete power outage.

The recommended fix is to restart it but when I go to /Settings to restart it is frozen at that screen - non-responsive. Same for all the other secondary screens (you can still swipe left and see Exercise, Timer, Alarm, etc.), but if you drill down on any one of them, nothing starts - the screen displays the main icon in the middle of the screen only, does not flip to the next operations of that function.

Mostly, there is no way to restart the device to try to get it to reset myself, since the Settings page is unresponsive and there is no other button on the device other than the one button on the left ... which only opens the Shortcuts menu that we want to program (like Alexa), instead of providing another way to access controls for the device.

Please, how do I get the clock (Time) and the summary stats (steps, HR, etc.) back ... ?

Thanks in advance!!

I don't have the music on my Fitbit. I'm getting frustrated that it doesn't
work when I really need it to. I waited over an hour an a half for someone
to come on to chat to help me with my concern. I finally gave up.

Hey All: for my main screen going black and subsidiary screens just being
inactive, a hard restart finally did it. Somehow, I could. It find the hard
restart instructions in the FAQs and I too got frustrated...

Later, someone emailed me that if I held down the (only) button on the
left side of my Versa 2, and hope it for 10-12 secs that the initial screen
they lights would go away and the screen would go black. It did, and
eventually reset to the startup screen with the Fitbit blue dots icon on
it.

It restarted on its own after that and continued downloading an update
(maybe).

Now it works - maybe try that ..?

minus the shower and getting my fitbit wet, I am having the same problem. I have done a hard reset worked for a day. in addition my fitbit is only staying charged for 1 day if I'm lucky and I have turned off all the added features.
