Versa screen showing vertical green lines

Woke up this morning to Green vertical lines over my screen. Functionality behind is just about visible but lines look like something out of the matrix. Really annoyed as upgraded from the charge 2 that never had problems to this, always having notification connectivity problems and now this. Watch is 5 weeks old and outside of fault return period for curry's UK! Have reset watch several times as suggested but problem remains with screen.

@Weaver1101 @Buffylives Please contact Customer Support as this might be a hardware issue. Unless you want to try 3-button reset first, just in case:

  1. Press and hold all 3 buttons until Fitbit logo flashes (this usually takes 15 seconds but may take up to 3 minutes)
  2. After Fitbit logo disappears, release the bottom right button
  3. Wait until you feel strong vibration and release the other buttons.

You may need to attempt the reset a few times to find the optimal times. Trying holding the buttons longer, as long as it's needed for the vibration to appear.

If you're successful with factory reset, please remember to remove Versa from your Fitbit account (in your Fitbit mobile app) and Paired Devices list in your phone Bluetooth settings as you will have to set it up again (add as a new device).

I ended up getting help from live chat, essentially the screen has corrupted and fitbit are sending a replacement. They advised a number of steps first such as factory reset, changing clock faces etc but in the end couldn't see the functions so would advise customer support for anyone with similar issue.

@denellbug yes well got new Series 4... Was in a constant reboot loop. Had to take it back to Apple store. Good that I coughed out extra dough for Apple Care which simply replaced the faulty device for a brand new one. Yeah. Happened after firmware update. Yeah. So......... Bugs happen. QC issues happen everywhere. This forum consists of people that seek resolution to the issues with their Fitbit. Not happy users. I'm getting fed up with reading about Apple watch. Sorry. Have it. It's an awesome device, but health and wellness platform doesn't even compare, IMHO. Great smartwatch with some fitness capabilities. Versa is a great fitness and wellness tracker with some smartwatch capabilities. You see where I'm going? Yeah well. Sorry for being so inarticulate but as I said feeling drained after reading another Apple watch comment. Sorry. Good luck.

I got an Apple Watch and I have serious connection problems as I can't have my Pixel 3 XL even see it.

Really fed up with this watch.

<sarcasm off>

Seriously, a 30 secs search on the web led me to this forum about Apple Watch issues:

https://discussions.apple.com/community/watch/apple_watch_hardware

It appears to me that EVERYBODY has problems with Apple Watch like EVERBODY have problems with its Fitbit Versa looking at this forum.

I totally agree! I love my Fitbit!!! I don’t want an Apple Watch, but I am getting to that point where it would be better than what I have. My husband has one and has not had near the issues I have had. I like the fitness aspect of the Fitbit, with a smart watch features. Thank you for the replies.

@denellbug I do not want to defend Fitbit, but QC issues simply happen. In a perfect world, there would be none. I feel and fully understand your frustration, but it is possible to be an unlucky owner of 2 - 3 devices with the same issue... Ask @Giampi71... Just ask about the story of my Google PixelBook... Yes. I am waiting for my 3rd replacement now. So, my advice to you is... reach out to Customer Support for another replacement. Especially that you seem to like device. Good luck.

My Versa just did this while I was typing! LOL I saw it go to vertical lines in my peripheral vision. I tried the factory reset and now it won't even turn on 😞 I've only had it like 5-6 months. I've been a FitBit customer since the beginning tho, they'll fix it or send me a new one I'm sure.

@jedijennie I'm sorry to hear that. Yes, please reach out to Customer Support!

Hello @Danny111 If you leave in Europe then the minimum warranty time by law is 2 years otherwise unfortunately Fitbit looks very strict on the warranty terms and conditions.

How do I get help with this? My screen is also flickering and not clear with green lines and sometimes red or purple lines. Like the screen is starting to give in...

Try to contact the Fitbit team, if you have a warranty on your Fitbit, you can exchange your corrupt one for a new one.

Mine has the same issue.  I contacted customer care....unfortunately that couldn't do anything since its 1 year old.  I am not very happy, I will not buy another fitbit product again.  Way to much money to spend for it to only work for 1 year.
