Versa screen switching by itself

ANSWERED

My versa keeps switching screens from the watch screen to screen wake and music controls and it does it every few seconds. I have tried turning it off but nothing seems to work. I have had to stop wearing it because every time it changes it vibrates even through the night which keeps me awake. I have turned it off reset to factory settings and I still can’t get it to stop changing. What else can I do.

@Amyaberdeen welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the screen changes and the watch vibrates all of a sudden. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I would like to know if you restarted your Versa as described in this help article. If you already tried this method, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the issues get fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy

Hi
I restarted my Fitbit the way it says in the instructions. But it won’t turn it off it just restarts my Fitbit the only way I can turn it off for a while is by letting the battery run down. I have tried everything and it still won’t work properly. It still flickers from the face screen to another screen and if I press the buttons the don’t respond. Is there any way I can get this repaired I have only had it for 6 months

Thankyou for doing this. But I have tried everything and now the battery is only lasting a day because of the screen always being on.

Nothing work for mine. And now the single button on the right doesn’t even work anymore which is annoying. But I let my watch battery die and I didn’t charge it for about a month, then turned it back on again. And it works ok but that button won’t work.
Hope this helps. As I got no help from the versa Fitbit guys

@Karinaelias1993 I'm sorry for the late response. However, I would like to follow up on the display issue that your Versa is experiencing since the restart process didn't fix the issue.

Please try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the issue gets fixed.

@Amyaberdeen I'm glad to hear that your Versa screen works properly now.

Regarding the issue that the button on the right of your watch is experiencing, please try cleaning around the button with a toothpick in order to remove any dust that is affecting the functionality. After this, restart your watch one more time and see if the button works properly.

Let me know how it goes! 😀

Hi I have the same problem. This is already a replacement model as my first one broke within the warranty. I've tried clock changing and factory resetting but nothing works. This one is not even 1 year old yet. 😔

The only way mine stopped was by letting the battery go flat and leaving it for a few days. now the single button on the left does not work at all so difficult to do some thing with my watch. But if you can get it changed do it.

Did you ever manage to get your watch to act right? I'm afrain I'm not going to get any help from the Fibit moderators on the forum

Yes it did start working again, but I can’t use the single button because it just stopped working which is rubbish. I had to try and work out how to fix it myself as it wasn’t under warranty after 6 months

Suddenly, my Versa starting doing this at 1:30am. I stayed up trying to fix it. I changed the clock face, did a reset and a factory reset. I eventually had to take it off. The battery was at 100% at midnight now at 55% 12 hours later. The Fitbit is 11 months old and I’m frustrated that I cannot get any help. Can someone guide me to a direction to where I am able to have a functioning Fitbit and sleep. Thank you

Let your Fitbit battery go completely dead then recharge. If that fisent work then see if you can chance it under the warranty.
