@ajthomas, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the screen won't turn on, even after you restarted it.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. Before this, sync your watch in order to avoid losing current data. In order to proceed with the factory reset, please follow the steps listed below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware (See How do I update my Fitbit device?).
  6. Finally, you will need to install all the apps and see if your watch comes back to life

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I'm on my 2nd replacement.  This one lacked 2 months of working for a year!  It's keeping track of steps and syncing to phone but screen is black most of time.  I've tried the reboot several times.  The logo barely shows and there is a gray screen when it comes on.  There is definitely a huge flaw with the Versas 😔  I'm sure my warranty is up as I think I just barely got this last replacement.

This happened to me today. I contacted customer support and followed the prompts for a hard reset.. Of course it didn’t help. Since my device is a replacement sent to me from Fitbit 8 months ago, I’m SOL. Replacements are NOT covered under warranty.

They offered 25% off if I make a purchase in 30 days. I’m taking my money and purchasing the Garmin Forerunner 45S.

I decided to go with a Samsung Galaxy Active Watch 2.  I just can't justify staying with Fitbit when it won't last a year.  So upsetting to pay that much for a watch that doesn't last.
