Thanks for getting back to us @Nifty-fifty12 and @Squeakersmom! I'll be glad to continue assisting you.
@Squeakersmom, thank you for trying all the recommended steps to prolong your Versa's battery life. I went ahead and created a case on your behalf and a customer support representative will contact you soon. Please check your email.
@Nifty-fifty12, I'm glad that charging via your computer worked for you. Please try to charge your Versa when you get the low battery sign and not when it gets completely out of charge.
I'll be here if you have more questions.

What’s the technical rationale for not using a third party USB charger?
Does Fitbit not confirm to the USB standards? And why not?

Hi I was using apple plug but it was pushing power in to fast but not holding it they could see all this there end as they ask if I was using another source like apple product I was amazed to be fair but after following there advise it does now hold charge however I was having major probs swapping bands with them fiddly pins so ordered charge 3 now
I think problem as resolved now but they am monitoring it from there side should be contacting me soon for final update on what decision they come to
They did advise me to allow it to totally drain first time I think they needed to see it charge from flat I mean I don’t find it brilliant but it’s been ok but still hate the band swapping so I’ve ordered the charge 3 now from amazon it’s cost more in long run but hopefully it will be worth it

I see my post appears to have been removed.
I don’t believe that there is any technical rationale behind what they’re telling you about using a computer to charge as opposed to an Apple USB adaptor. They’re almost certainly just assuming that you don’t know how USB works and hoping that you will be placated.
It’s a bit alarming that a post that questions Fitbit gets removed. I thought we were here to help each other get the most of our devices? If this forum is just for “yay Fitbit” then “yay Fitbit” I guess.

Thanks for getting back to us @Jac68, @HowardSH and @Nifty-fifty12. I apologize for the delayed response and will continue assisting you.
@Jac68, thank you for your comments, I really appreciate that you´ve mentioned that you know a girl whose had one a few months without any problem.
@HowardSH, your post wasn't removed and regarding your question, we recommend plugging your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or other low-energy device. If necessary, you can use a UL-certified USB wall charger. Don't use a USB hub or battery pack to charge, and only use the charging cable that came with your device. You can check Why isn't my battery charging? help article.
@Nifty-fifty12, thank you for sharing all your adventure with us. I´m glad that you received your Charge 3 and that everything is fine now.
Please visit us again if you have more questions. Thank you for being part of the Fitbit family!

Thanks Andrea, what did happen to my post?
Here is a great article on USB charging and the appropriate standards.
The concept of having to use a lower power USB port would appear to be nonsense, based on this article. Unless FitBit is suggesting that their devices do not confirm to the USB Charging standards? Why is this being recommended Andrea? For those of us with computers that were made less than 10 years ago, what do you propose that we do?

Wow, it kind of unsettling as I just got a Versa, and after reading some of the forum/post regarding the Battery drainage which in my case not lasting more than a day.
Now I have follow some of the suggestion posted and will give it another day or so to see how it would stand regarding battery life. To be honest I have an old Itouch watch and that watch would go days without charging and that included receiving calls, text and so forth, big possibility in returning to such.

The battery on my Versa (purchased in May 2018 in New Zealand) has started draining from 100% to nothing in leass than 24 hours as of three days ago. I now have to rechage night and morning to keep it functioning for 24 hours..
1. No changes had been made to any settings before this and i dont use all of the functions that might drain the battery fast.
2. I have installed the latest version of software.
3. I have tried turning it on and off.
4. I have done a factory reset.
5. I have cleaned the recharging points.
6. I always charge using the fitbit charger and my computer. It charges to 100% but the charge wont hold at present
Are there any other suggestions before returning it to where I purchased it.
12/24/18 Edit to add that it is now a few days after I posted the above I also turned off the auto awake with movement (now awakes manually when I tap it) and initially recharged it for longer even when it said it was at 100%, leaving it in the charger for a couple of hours.
I dont know what was wrong or what solution worked since I did all of the above, but I am pleased to report the battery is holding well again as it did when I got it and has not needed recharging. Two days later and I am at 58%. With usual setting and apts my normal was twice a week charge - so this is great.
Good luck everyone who is having this issue. I hope something works for you. I love this watch - how it fits and feels and screen size so didnt want to have to swap for another different type.

I responded too soon as I was hopeful the proble was fixed. This issue is NOT corrected. Recharged my Versa battery yesterday morning to 100% and again last evening at 10pm as I got a message battery was low.. Went to bed. At 8am this morning the charge was 35%. I was sleeping - not sleep walking all night.
Back it goes when the holiday is over while the warrantee is still in place. I seem to have no other option.
12/28/18 Well after contacting support they have been very helpful. Monitored my Versa and could see the battery was draining despite trying all things suggested such as factory reset. So a replacement is on its way. Hopefully the problem will not return with the replacement. Good service over a holiday period.
