Versa software updates

I am having trouble getting answers to the following:

1) Are updates downloaded automatically through out the line (users)

2) If so, how can you tell when and if a download has been made

3) If so(2),How can you get a description of the download

Finally 4) how to tell what software version your device(Versa) is, and what is the latest version released

Assuming your really are talking software updates to app, not firmware updates to tracker.

For Android (I assume similar for iPhone), it depends on your settings.  And this is all phone/Android related, nothing to do with Fitbit.  In the Google Play Store, you have the option to have all apps update automatically or not.  If you choose not, when you go to the Google Play Store > My Apps & Games, it show which apps have updates available and you decide which to do.

You might also be able to choose app by app which auto-update or not; I haven't bothered looking for that.

In either case, I think you get a notification in bar at top of phone and can drag down to see which apps updated.

For version of app you have, go to Account page > Help.

What's changed in the latest release of the Fitbit app?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
