New versa user. Having major issues with step count. I’m an I phone user.

Everytime my watch says says I made my step goal, i check my iPhone app and it synces and then it tells me I didn’t.  This happened last night once it synced there was more than a 500 step difference, so I made up the steps reached the goal and today I went and looked and it says I didn’t meet my goal.

This is morning I woke up went on a 2 mile run my watch (without my phone) informed me I stepped over 5000 times and then I got home grabbed my phone it synced and the circles said I met my goals . And then less than 5 minuets later it said I only had 31 steps!

Frustrating.. now my watch also says I only took 31 one steps.

If this happens only when you sync, then the issue is definitely the Fitbit App.

If you're a new user you probably won't have an old tracker, but you may have setup your iPhone as a tracker for Fitbit with the "Mobile Track" feature. Therefore, the phone may be overwriting the information from your watch.

To check whether that's the case or not, go to your account on the Fitbit App and then look for the paired devices. You can remove MobileTrack from there and that should fix the problem.

I am having the same issue.  I just removed Mobile Track from my iPhone and will see if that helps.

I'm surprised Fitbit allows that to be an option!

Now I think syncing with my iPhone 7 is the problem.  I did a test and had 65 steps.  When I picked up my phone, it showed 7 steps, synced and now both phone and Versa show 7 steps.  Help!

I removed Mobile Tracker from the Fitbit app on my phone, restarted the phone and so far steps are adding up, syncing is working...fingers crossed!

I think it's really just to make it easier for users who don't own a Fitbit to test the "#1 Fitness & Health App."

Having the same problem: watch shows 7000steps, after doing several restarts on my IPhone and Fitbit watch and App, then it shows correct number also on the app. Minutes later, the app again shows 46steps instead of 7000🙄.

I have only one paired device and did not find any place where “mobile tracker” or similar is written...

I have iPhone SE, software updates are all done.

Hope somebody can help😩
