Versa stops vibrating and receiving notifications

Randomly my device stops vibrating and displaying text and phone calls.I also have the problem that it randomly stops tracking my steps in my weight watchers app. Notifications are turned on, I have checked all setttings, and I have rebooted my device and my phone.

Is this a common problem that people have, you have to unpair and re-pair your device about every two months? I never had this problem with my Samsung Fit. I have done all the troublshooting mentioned in these articles the only thing that fixes it is the re-pairing about every 6-8 weeks.

@mahuchingson, I'm sorry for the late response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa stopped vibrating and receiving notifications. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I would like to know what is the brand and model of your phone.

In the meantime, try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Sync your watch before this in order to avoid losing current data.

Finally, monitor your Fitbit Versa and see if the issues get fixed.

Keep me posted.

I have a Samsung Note 9.
I did a factory reset and that worked, that isn't my issue. My issue is I
have to do a factory reset about every 4-7 weeks as the watch just stops
giving me notifications. I have had the watch not even a year and I have
had to reset it at least 4 or 5 times that is what I am disappointed with.

I am also having an issue with my Versa. I called a little over a week ago and was told the issue with receiving text message notifications (all other notifications are working as far as I am aware - phone, snapchat, etc.) would be fixed by this week. Well, the notifications started working Saturday, February 1st then stopped shortly after. I've also tried downloading a new clock face and it's saying "waiting for connection". I have done a factory reset, shut the versa down to restart, my phone has also been restarted several times during all of this process.

I have been experiencing the problem since I purchased the Fitbit, and every time I chat or call them, it's the same answer, they are working on a fix, be patient.  I am understanding, however the problem has been going on for months.  It's disappointing since this is why I purchased a Fitbit over an Apple watch.  I think it's bad advertising on Fitbit's part since it seems this has been an ongoing issue since Oct 2019.

My husband has a Versa 2. He hasn't experienced any issues with his.

However, I have with my Versa.

It is disappointing because nothing is getting resolved.

I reset mine the day I posted this and it has already stopped again. So
disappointing. I will encourage my friends to buy Apple or Samsung.

I don't think you do understand how I feel about this. Unless you yourself
wants to take my watch and throw it against the wall or place it on the
floor and stomp on it.
Ready to go back to Samsung!
