Hello, last resort here - have spent hours trying to fix / diagnose this.
Versa used to work fine but has recently started opening the stopwatch without my pressing anything. Slightly annoying in itself but very annoying in that the device vibrates every time it happens. Tried resetting, installing app, uninstalling, updating firmware, prayer, etc etc and so on. Anyone able to help/suggest?
Don't want to just chuck the thing away for the obvious environmental and cost reasons but it's literally worse than useless in current state. Help!

Should also add that it is an absolute chore to keep resetting and re-installing, an hour-long project each time

Hi @MikeMike3 - have you tried a different clock face and looking at the button settings in watch Settings to make sure timer is not assigned to a button.

Hello Guy, thanks very much for the reply. I’ve tried a variety of clock faces and assigned different functions to the button eg notifications, quick settings etc. the device just keeps short cutting to whatever is assigned. Do you have any further thoughts please ? Thank you again.

@MikeMike3 - thanks, by any chance are you left handed, and is your watch really a Versa and not a Versa 3?
If so try wearing it on the other arm or under arm.

Hello Guy and thanks again. It’s a Fitbit Versa model number FB 505. I am right-handed and I wear the watch on my left ie non-dominant wrist. Thank you.

@MikeMike3 - that is odd then, that you experience this unusual problem.
Have a chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support, they may have another idea.

Thanks for your help and replies Guy. Regrettably, Fitbit say that the item is not repairable/the problem cannot be fixed.

@MikeMike3 - what did they say was the problem?
Have you tried a different clock face in case it comes from there.
Seals can be iffy and there may be some residual moisture in it. Try drying it in some rice for a few days and see if it makes a difference.
Also go into the watch Settings and disable the long button press and adjust the 4 shortcuts for double press if stopwatch is one of them.
