Versa tracking steps when I'm not wearing it

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been using a versa since May.

I do not wear my fit bit to sleep.

About 3-5 times since then, I have woken up and put on my versa only to find that there are already 2000-3000 steps (at about 5-6 am).

Anyone else have this experience?

Why can this happen?

Thanks

Hi @goitz,

In my experience, that can happen when the Fitbit picks up vibrations. It happened to me, and when I started putting the watch away in a drawer when not using it, the problem went away. Give it a try and let us know if it works for you.

Hey @goitz, I hope you are doin' fine! If your Versa tracked extra steps while you were not actually wearing it, it might be due to the vibrations from the surface where it was put on. I mean, the vibrations coming from a fan, for example, are recognized by the Versa as steps. So please try to put it on a different place and let us know if the issue persists.

Thanks for your great help @WavyDavey! 😉
