Dear Fitbit,

Here are some software thoughts and frantic requests:

1) Please allow me to adjust the sensitivity of the 'Quick view'. I'm tiring of having to accentuate my look-at-watch motion to see what time it is. It's easier to pull my phone out of my pocket than it is to get my watchface to light up.

2) I found out from cNet today that my Versa is now capable of sending quick-replies. I spent 15 minutes trying to update my watch only to find I'm not one of the select 10% and I'll likely have to wait weeks to get this. I'm assuming the select 1 in 10 was chosen at random? Why not let Fitbit enthusiasts and junkies try new things like this first? Open it to those who are searching for it. Begging for it. Not to a random 10% of whom only half will even notice or care about the new features.

3) Limit me to Pandora and (whatchaMaCallit?) for music? WTH? Please. I understand that I don't actually understand - but at least provide some explanation of why I can't sync the music I've already downloaded to my phone using more mainstream avenues.

4) I really wanted to trust the heartrate data from my Versa. Instead, I find myself walking around with my fingers pressed into my carotid artery verifying numbers.

Having personally built heart rate monitors, I'm surprised with the inaccuracy of your results when I wear the Versa like a watch compared to when I wear it like a forearm sweatband. I'm even more surprised that this discrepancy wasn't offered as an obvious tip during the watch's setup.

Also, if I'm going to have to wear this like an arm band to get accurate heartrate readings, then, again (point 1 above), let me adjust the 'quick view' sensitivity so I can stop looking like Wonder Woman blocking bullets every time I check the time!

That said, thank you for being waterproof, having a great battery life and an appealing look. I, for one, would sacrifice half my Versa's battery life for fixes to the issues outlined above.

Requesting feedback,

Carston

My Quick View works just fine with a normal watch look motion.

I got the new software today as did a lot of users.

The HR sensor works very well. I have a Blood Pressure Monitor that also does HR.

Maybe you got a bad unit?

Great to see you here @CarstonM@swim4lifekac and @SunsetRunner thanks for stopping by.

I appreciate the feedback regarding the Versa.

  • Quick View: Check the following request, vote for it and leave your comment, Quick View Gesture sensitivity.
  • Update: I recommend just being aware for the update message and once you receive it, make the necessary update.
  • Pandora: Take a look at the following request, where you can also vote for it and share your comments Add free version of Pandora. If the issue is directly with downloading your music, follow the instructions provided in the Why can't I download music and podcasts to my Fitbit watch? article.
  • Heart Rate: If you are having issues with your heart rate information, I suggest taking a look at this post and this other one, where you will be able to see some things that might be affecting this reading and some tips to improve.

Also, as recommended, feel free to visit our feature suggestion board to share more ideas.

Catch you later. Robot Happy
