Versa won’t hold charge

My Versa will not hold a charge- it is going from fully charged down to 0 in a matter of hours. What can I do?

Use a laptop or a large charging block (not a little phone charger) and clamp the watch into the charger:

The charging isn’t an issue it charges to 100% but in use it drains rapidly. 
If I had to do this to charge it surely there is a fault with the product and it doesn’t work how it is supposed to.
