Versa won't sync / log sleep / update challenges

Just received the Versa yesterday and setup went ok but a few hours later it stopped syncing. You could hit sync manually and the taskbar said synced, but the app would show last sync several hours ago. Very frustrating that it allows false positives. 

 

It was not recording steps, sleep data, or updating challenges with info.

Fixed by rebooting device. Hold left and bottom right buttons for 5+ seconds until the Fitbit logo flashes. This resulted in a sync showing just now and all previous data logging to the app. 

 

I wrote the post just to log the occurrence. It seems like a very common issue and if It keeps happening the device will be returned for a less buggy option.

I just rebooted mine, still not syncing with challenges, solution didn't work, very frustrating!

Update, I unpaired my charge 2 from the phone and all of my versa sync issues have resolved along with my frustration. I'm finding all of my issues were related to me and tech. Becoming a huge fan of the Versa!

I just started mine today and had to re-start it as well, as it was not syncing.  Hoping that I only have to do this once!

The Versa has more syncing issues than it probably should. It is very annoying. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't and I don't quiet understand what is different when it does work.

Agreed. This happened to me a week after getting it and the reboot worked. Now its happening again and I just rebooted Versa 3 times and it's still not syncing up the data correctly. It shows steps but doesn't show activity, sleep and challenge data. very frustrating!!!

Im more drawn to the idea that the Versa's bluetooth is extremely picky right now. I use bluetooth headphones and speakers on both my laptop and my phone, and I also use a bluetooth mouse on my laptop. And sometimes when I use my headphones on either the Versa wont sync, and sometimes my mouse would lose connectivity when the Versa does sync to the laptop.

Def rebooting both the phone/pc and the fitbit versa is a temporary fix to this issue, but hopefully in the future this wont be necessary.

Lately the Versa is getting better at syncing. I will assume the last firmware update had to do with it.

Still not perfect but definitely a lot better.  Kudos to fitbit. Keep it up.

So what you are saying is the old fitbit band that you originally had should not still be synced with you phone because it may hinder the versa from fully being optimized? I am having some technical situations also and still have my alta synced to my android. I wore mine for 6 hours (only while i slept) amd it was fully charged, amd woke up it was at 11%

I had this same problem.  I was replacing a Fitbit Blaze.  Once I unpaired the Blaze from my phone everything synced.

I am having the same issue. I really had high hopes about the versa, it was supposed to be comparable to the Apple watch. The only times my versa has synced is when I've called Fitbit support and had a 30-46 minute conversation. Please resolve soon! 😡

Didn't work for me either. I managed to Update the Firmware and it synced this morning but hasn't registered any sleep which was one of the main reasons I got it. Tried everything, even reinstalled the app. Only had the blooming thing 24hours and its already frustrating

I did a factory reset on my watch and uninstalled the Fitbit app and reinstalled it and it worked. Still though I am not happy with Fitbit and having to spend my time having to jump through these hoops 😞
