Versa won't sync unless I open the Fitbit app

My versa 2 has suddenly stopped syncing unless I open the app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone and the Versa. Bluetooth is on, all permissions are on-run in the background, everything is updated. Any advice before I switch to a different brand?

May I know the model of your mobile phone? Please make sure it meets the requirements listed here.

If your phone does meet the requirements, see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

On a side note, please know that since you're an Android user you can't use MobileTrack in addition to a Fitbit device. For more information about MobileTrack, see How do I use Fitbit MobileTrack?

If you have MobileTrack linked to your Fitbit account you'll need to remove it in order to set up the Fitbit device and get back on track. For instructions, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Perhaps, this is the misunderstanding between us.

The meaning of sync is that the data of watch transfers to smart phone or vise versa. with blue tooth.

Therefore , users have to start APP of smartphone in order to sync.
