Versa won't sync whatsoever

Yesterday, the app flagged a firmware update. This operation failed, claiming network operation failure. Since then, my fitbit is not syncing at all. I deleted the device and tried to set the Versa 3 up again as a new device. Response is that "fitbit.com" is down for maintenance. I deleted the app and re-installed that. The problem persists.

I did the update but since then have not been able to sync and have tried everything

Same thing is happening to me with my Versa 2 and Fitbit cant seem to help or doesnt know how to help at all. Id like to return the Versa now and switch to another smart watch.
