Versa won't turn on

Fit Bit Versa watch quit and doesn't work even after following reboot instructions. Is it dead?

Hi @Cece71, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since it won't turn on. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I would like to know if your Fitbit Versa vibrates when you put it on the charger. In the meantime, follow the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. Finally, charge your watch for 2-3 hours and see if it comes back to life.

I'm also experiencing this issue.

I completed all the suggested troubleshooting items and it still won't turn on.

When I place it in the charger, it does NOT vibrate and it does not appear to be charging.   It does however get EXTREMELY hot (the versa and charger itself).

I had given up on mine and quit wearing.  Three days later I picked it up, and it flashed no battery.  So, I charged it again and so far it is working but acts fully sometimes..Won't record water or steps.

My Versa has never vibrated on charger.  Plus, sometimes it will send notifications and sometimes not.  When I had an IPhone and Iphone tracker, it did everything...phone calls, email, etc. which I really do not need but the difference is huge.  I have a LG android phone right now.

I have a Versa that is less than 2 yrs old. It won’t turn on. I reset it because the heart rate monitor wasn’t working. Now, nothing. I tried holding all 3 button for 3 minutes and also throughly cleans the contacts on Versa and charger. I also changed the USB wall charger with one being used to charge another Versa with no issues.  I don’t really see anything else to do on the forum that works. I was hoping this would last longer than 20 months. Now what? Any new suggestions?

I gave up and got a cheap one from Amazon that has all the same basic functions and cost about $36. Super disappointed.. barely lasted 1.5 years.
