Versa won’t turn on

My versa will not turn on. It wore it in water so I don’t know if that is affecting it. It hasn’t been synced in 6 days. Not happy at all.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Simpm.

Thank you for sharing that your Fitbit Versa is not turning on or syncing. I appreciate the information that you wore your watch in water. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help you.
Fitbit Versa is swim-proof in a lake, pool, or ocean (up to 50 meters). I recommend trying to charge your device by following these troubleshooting steps including a restart: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

If you're able to charge your device, you can double check the steps to resolve the syncing issue here

The charging works fine. I put it on the charger and the Fitbit logo shows
up. After a couple minutes it goes blank again.

Hi @Simpm, thank you for your reply. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate the additional details and recommend doing a factory reset. Please note that you'll need to reinstall any apps on your device after the reset, and if you couldn’t sync your device, then any data on the Fitbit device will be lost. In order to do the factory reset, please do the following:

  1. On the watch, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. Once the Fitbit.com/setup screen appears, open the Bluetooth settings on your phone and unpair the watch from the list. Then, please set up the watch back to your account with the instructions on this link: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around!

Hi there. Gave rebooting a try, the device won’t light up, vibrate or
anything. Just sits blank no matter how long I hole the buttons

I am having the same issue. Versa is less than 8 months old. Wore it to bed one night, fully charged. The next morning, it would not turn on to view time or any of the functions, just a black screen. I put in on the charger and it "rebooted" and said the batter was at over 90%. It stayed on a few hours then went black again. When it gets in the charger, the clock face comes on; but it goes black just a few seconds after taking it out. I cannot factory reset it; the screen just stays black.

This is the FIFTH Fitbit device I have had significant issues with within a year of purchasing between myself and my wife. I am really questioning the quality of Fitbit devices. I did send an email and have a case number but I am not optimistic of an agreeable solution based on other message boards.
