Versa won't turn on

Hello all,

My fitbit was on and working fine in the morning. I went to head out for work and turned it off so it didn't miscalculate my steps. Now, I get to work and it didn't turn on using the side button as normal.

I get home last night put it on the charger and it still wont come on.

Any help, please?

@aarionteau, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it won't turn on or take a charge.

I'd like to know if your Fitbit Versa vibrates when you put it on the charger.

In the meantime, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, charge your watch for 2-3 hours and see if it it comes back to life.

my versa actually stays black and does nothing when I put / keep on the charger. So I don’t think I can do any of the troubleshoot steps 

As a matter of fact, my Fitbit app is reading that my device is charged to 90% .

Hold down the left button and lower right for 10-20 seconds, and see if it reboots.

Turning off the Fitbit doesn't work anymore.  It crashes while shutting down and still uses battery.  The 2 button salute reboots it.

Fitbit must be well aware of this but as far as I know, they haven't admitted it.

Omg! Thanks!! I’ll try that.. 

the screen is completely black on and off the charger. My app still shows it has 90% battery so I wonder if it did crash?
