Good news everybody, after tons of resets/restarts and getting the latest firmware, my versa is no longer useless after three months. I had to basically just leave it in the cradle for 2-3 weeks until I got the latest firmware update. Then a lot of factory resets eventually got the versa working outside the cradle. So I chalk it up to some previous update bricked the watch and the new update seems to have fixed it. I definitely lost a lot of confidence in the brand though.
