I'm not getting the contents of text messages on my brand new Versa2, nor am I able to see who the sender is or respond to the messages from my Versa. I only get a "New Message" notification and the options to Open or Clear. When I select Open, the messages on my Phone open, not on my Versa. I am getting all other notifications on my Versa - emails with content, phone calls with number and accept or reject, Facebook Messenger with sender and content of message. I've tried to figure out why the text message function won't work,and this was one reason I chose this model- ability to read and respond.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8, am running the most recent version of the OS. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app, have reset the Fitbit, signing in again to the app. I've read several articles on connecting the phone and making sure everything is set right, but still can't get it to work.

Was this issue ever resolved for you? I just bought mine and am having the same issue. If it has not been fixed I want to return the watch.

I was able to fix it myself. I'm trying to remember, but I think I uninstalled the app and reset the fitbit completely to factory default, started fresh. I installed the app, paired with my phone, and did the startup all over again. Once I did that, it seemed to work. 🤷:female_sign:
