Fitbit support member told me to destroy my device and send a pic. I was hesitant to destroy it an even asked if he's sure. He assured me that I will get a new one. Got sent the confirmation via email that my replacement was ordered. Later today I got an email saying sorry he made a mistake and that the device was out of warranty and that it was a mistake on their system. Totally unacceptable.

Issue hasn't been resolved yet but I'm confident their customer service has to be better than that for a major company like Fitbit

Try to contact them again, you will most likely get another Cust Service Rep. Say you are a loyal customer, so disappointed in the product, were told you were getting a replacement. Maybe they will offer 50% off?

Glad to say that I'm getting a replacement. So happy with the customer service received in the end.
